A potential customer called us a few days ago. He said he had a Radon system installed a few days ago. He has a home radon monitor. His radon numbers were still elevated. The company that installed his radon system didn’t want to come back, so he called us. Take a look at this radon system install. I have seen old systems like this when most people were not aware of the standards. But this is a brand new radon system.
Again, this was just installed a few days ago. #1 fan is in the basement. #2 vent is under a window. #3 how they ran the vent is against code. You cannot block the electrical pedestal. The radon company that did the install did not write who the installer was or their company name. I wonder why. The customer went with them because of their price. See my earlier posts regarding “price”.
The system is not working because this is a duplex. The neighbor’s sump pit is about 7′ away on the other side of the wall, and it is not sealed. So, the system is just sucking air from the neighbor’s side. Whoever installed this radon system had absolutely no idea what they were doing or how they installed the radon system would affect the neighbors unit.
All I can say is that “you have got to be kidding”.
