We guarantee that the Active Mitigation System will bring your home's Radon level to 3.9 pCi/L (EPA recommended) or below. Many homes will be guranteed to be 1.9 pCi/L or below at no additional cost. Your Radon level guarantee is in writing, in your contract. We will match the price of any properly certified, insured competitor who offers the same level of service (item for item) with a copy of their written proposal!

Radon Testing for Real Estate Transactions

We test with Continuous Radon Monitors. They measure and print hourly readings, along with an overall average reading. Our 24 monitors are calibrated annually by an EPA approved lab. They're also spot checked throughout the year to ensure they haven't strayed from acceptable accuracy levels.

$150 for Radon test in Fond du Lac, New London, Waupun, Ripon, Green Bay, and Waupaca

(We do not conduct tests in the Sheboygan area.)

Radon Testing for Non-Real Estate Transactions

For non real estate transactions, consider conducting the test yourself. Please see How to Radon test your home. By following these directions you'll get a very accurate reading of your home's Radon levels.

Sealing of Sump Pump

For homeowners or sellers who want to try to reduce Radon levels by only sealing the sump pit, and retesting. There are no guarantees that Radon levels will be reduced using this method.

Note: If Radon levels were greater than 6 pCi/L on a test taken at least 10 feet from the pit, your best option is to install an active Radon mitigation system from the start.

* Additional charge for sealing larger sump pits. Prices do no include re-piping of ejector pipe. Some existing sump pump ejector piping may not be suitable for attaching to a new sump pump, due to size or flexibility of pipe, or if it's unsecured. Existing ejector piping must have a minimum inside diameter of 1-1/4", be secured (not wobbly), and be rigid PVC or ABS pipe. If these conditions are not present, we must install new ejector piping.

Licensed Electrician On-Site and City Permit Most municipalities require a licensed electrician to install the electrical to provide power to our fan. This also requires an electrical permit, which means the work normally is inspected. If anyone is caught not getting a permit or installing electrical without a licensed electrician, the company and possibly the owner will be fined. Only the Village of Howard does not require a permit, but still requires an electrician to do the work. Note that a Radon company installing the electrical without an electrician will not be covered under their liability insurance should anything happen.	$50 - $150

These prices are for typical installations. Prices may change upon inspection. Final price will be determined on sub-slab type material, drain tile configuration, local electrical / permit costs, treating crawl spaces, and travel time. A written proposal will be provided at time of inspection.

Prices for Radon Mitigation System (New Construction)

Active Dampness Control System for all of NE WI area	$600
Passive System: Fox Valley / Oshkosh / Green Bay / Fond du Lac areas	$400

These prices are based on typical stick construction homes. New construction is less expensive as it's considerably easier to install a Radon mitigation system during construction. Fewer materials are also needed on a new construction installation. The excavator/plumber is responsible for installing a sealed sump pump pit. An electrician is required to install a light fixture with a grounded outlet near the vent pipe penetration during rough-in. We would need to be at the home during the plumbing rough-in stage of construction.

Radon System Maintenance Package

Customers in the Fox Falley, Green Bay, Oshkosh and Fond du Lac areas can purchase a four-year maintenance package for a one-time fee of only $100. The maintenance includes an annual inspection to check your fan for bug larvae and to make sure all the clamps and pipes in your installation are tight and in good order. Also included: One unscheduled trip per year to clear or clean an ice cap from your vent, if needed. Learn more about our Radon System Maintenance Package.

Backup Sump Pumps

Backup systems are installed by a licensed plumber per State plumbing codes. These systems are only installed by customer request, at the time of the Radon system installation. We coordinate the installation and you benefit by only having to deal with one company.

A backup sump pump must be checked on a regular basis and the deep cycle battery maintained properly. A backup sump pump may not be able to keep up with water flow, depending on water volume coming into the sump crock. Battery backup sump pumps are not a guarantee against water entering your basement due to failure of the main sump pump.

High volume backup systems are available. Prices go up considerably with the size of the backup system.

General labor charges: $50/hour per person
