Dryer Booster Fan

If your clothes dryer has a run of 15 feet or more, you may want to consider a booster fan. Lint can accumulate quickly in a long duct run because the dryer's fan is not strong enough to push it all the way to the vent. A booster fan will help push the lint all the way out of the vent.

A booster fan will also help to dry your clothes faster. Are your clothes taking longer and longer to dry? You may not need a new dryer. The duct may need to be cleaned, and then add the booster fan. Your dryer may last longer with a booster fan because its own fan does not have to work as hard.

The booster fan can run off of a pressure switch or a timer. With the pressure switch, the booster fan turns on/off automatically when the dryer turns on/off. With a timer you just set it to the same time as your dryer.
